FACTS ABOUT GENDER EQUITY & EQUALITY

Women hold approximately 10 - 20 per cent of Executive and Board positions in Canada's travel industry.

According to the WTTC, women represent more than 60 per cent of travel & tourism employment.

According to a 2018 LeanIn.org and McKinsey Women in the Workplace study, men are more likely to be hired into manager-level jobs & they are far more likely to be promoted into them.

As UN Women reports, "When more women work, economies grow. Women’s economic
empowerment boosts productivity, increases economic diversification and income equality
in addition to other positive development outcomes."
